It's safe to say 2016 will be a hard year to top for Aquis Gold Coast Titans winger, Anthony Don.

He finished 2016 as the joint-leading try-scorer for the club with 12 four-pointers to his name, before getting hitched to his long-time partner Samantha in the off-season.

The 29-year old Grafton junior says he's enjoying life on and off the field right now, although pre-season fitness brings him back to earth pretty quickly.

"Body was feeling good up until about two hours ago," Don laughed as he spoke to Titans TV  this morning.

"Now after that fitness session it's not feeling the best. I'll just have to try to get the rest and recovery right so I'll be fine for the rest of the pre-season.

Don says the goal now is to work harder than ever over the pre-season to prepare for the 2017 season.

"The goal is to get a bigger frame and put a bit more muscle on, improve on my skills and improve on the things I was doing last year.

"Just work on a few areas in defence and build some combinations with the people around me.

One of those players is sure to be Konrad Hurrell, with the pair linking up on the right side of attack for the Titans over the back-end of the 2016 season.

"We've got a really good squad across the board, obviously we've lost a couple of key players in the off-season like Luke Douglas and Greg Bird, Josh Hoffman and a couple of others.

"We've gained some really good buys as well, I'm looking forward to getting on and getting to know how they play on the field and getting to train with them for the whole pre-season and getting into the games next year as well."
