Burleigh Bears second-rower and former NYC True Titan winner, Hayden Schwass, says one of the only things that could top his standout 2016 premiership with the Burleigh Bears is a full-time NRL contract with the Aquis Gold Coast Titans.
The 21-year-old was one of just a handful of local players asked to train with the Titans during the pre-season.
He says it's a step up that he's enjoying.
"It's a good feeling being out here with the boys in full-time training,"Schwass told Titans TV today.
"Bit different to obviously 20's and bit of cup training being part-time, but being full-time is definitely interesting," he laughed.
"The body is feeling good, obviously having a few weeks off and getting a way from it a bit, the body feels real good coming into the first week.
"There's definitely a bit more intensity and the boys are hard on you to get things right.
"My goals are to improve my fitness, and get a bit more size and push for a contract for next year.
"Probably prefer to play back-row or second-row but could fit into a lock role as well."
