The Aquis Gold Coast Titans have landed in Alice Springs ahead of the trial against the Parramatta Eels tomorrow night  and fullback William Zillman has spoken to the media about what the squad is looking to achieve in the 80 minutes.

“It’s my first time here so it’ll be good to get out and have a look around,” Zillman said.

A squad of 22 players has travelled to central Australia and whilst many would have thought it would be the hottest trial of the summer, many other teams will also be battling the heat.

“We’ve had our fair share of hot days back home but I suppose it’s a different type of heat here and that will be a challenge.

“This weekend will be a good hit-out. I’m not sure how the game will unfold but I know plenty of water will be drunk.

“We’ve come here with a number of younger players, a few who haven’t played NRL at all and a few that have only played a handful of games.

“I’m sure the coaching staff have a plan of what they want to see and they will try out a few different things.”
