Coach Neil Henry Names Round One Team

Aquis Gold Coast Titans Coach Neil Henry has today announced his Round One team for the clash against the Sydney Roosters at Cbus Super Stadium on Saturday night.

The match, scheduled for an 8.00pm (QLD time) kick-off, will be the first for four players, who are in line to make their debut for the Titans. Centre Dan Sarginson, prop Jarrod Wallace, back rower Kevin Proctor and interchange forward Joe Greenwood have been selected in the top 17 whilst the additional four players (Pat Vaivai, Max King, Morgan Boyle and Tyronne Roberts-Davis) could also make their first appearance at the top level for the club if called upon.

Five-eighth Kane Elgey will play in his first NRL match since 2015 and admits there will be some nerves there.

“There will be some nerves but I’ve played in the trials and the confidence is growing,” Elgey said. “There is always pressure on a player in my position but I’m just excited to be back out there with the boys and playing footy again.”
