NYC Coach Ben Woolf has given his final word ahead of his side's season opener this afternoon against the Roosters at Cbus Super Stadium.
"Intensity, timing and confidence," are three words used by Woolf to describe what his expectations are today and early on in an NYC season, that's all you can hope for.
"I'm really looking forward it," Woolf said. "We've put in the hard work and now we get to go out and play some footy."
In the past Woolf admits he's carried more players but this year is a different situation.
"We have less contracted players than in the past and we're now focused on working with the guys that will play each week."
Speaking before his side's final session and the match today, Woolf is looking for a few things.
"In training I just want the guys to work on their timing and build some confidence. During the match I really want the guys to work on holding the ball tomorrow and I think which ever side can do that will get more opportunities and then ultimately come out on top.
