The Titans may have been desperately low on troops during Saturdays match against the Knights in Newcastle, but no one could question the visitors heart, commitment or desperation.

In what is sure to figure in 2017 Try of the year calculations, the Titans scored a miracle try which had the McDonald Jones Stadium crowd on the edge of their seats.

Kane Elgey started the move in the 49th minute with a towering downfield bomb which was collected by a charging Agnatius Paasi

In heavy traffic, Paasi found Leivaha Pulu who quickly flicked the ball onto Konrad Hurrell who was able to hold off the Newcastle defenders and provide his Titans team mates with a few crucial seconds to reset, before passing inside to Tyron Roberts and then Pulu who charged forward shrugging off three defenders before finding the ever-present Tyron Roberts.

Roberts then switched direction, running towards the right edge before offloading to Captain Kevin Proctor who did well to keep the ball live despite a strong tackle, once again finding Tyron Roberts who was forced to push the ball backwards towards the Titans try line. An alert Hurrell scooped up the loose ball and quickly darted left, drawing a defender and finding Ash Taylor who launched a towering Crossfield kick towards a charging Chris McQueen who took a heavy tackle ten metres out from the Knights try line, Mc Queen somehow managing to flick a pass out to Joe Greenwood who finished off one of the most memorable tries in the Titans ten-year history.
