Halfback Ash Taylor has put pressure on himself to be better in match situations after the Titans were unable to close out the game against the Warriors last weekend.

Heading into a tough match against the seventh-placed Raiders, Taylor has steered away from using the excuse of a large injury toll and said that he and halfback partner Kane Elgey need to be better.

“We combined for a couple of tries last week and that relationship is continuing to grow as he (Elgey) is only a few games back from injury,” Taylor said.

“On the field we’re obviously not in a position to put our best team out there but it’s just the way it is at the moment.

“Being one and four isn’t ideal and it’s tough reading but I’m more filthy on myself. I’m here to close out games and I want to be the guy that does that so I need to be better.”
