Aquis Gold Coast Titans Chair, Rebecca Frizelle, takes great pleasure in announcing the appointment of Mr Geoff Jones to join the Board of the club following the recent resignation of Paul Donovan.

Mr Jones is currently Chief Executive Officer of ticketing, live entertainment and data analytics company, TEG Pty Ltd.

“Securing Geoff’s services for our Board is a massive coup for the Titans and the NRL, Ms Frizelle said today.

“Over the last 20 years Geoff has had an incredibly successful career holding CEO and senior management positions with a range of high profile businesses such as, Nine Entertainment, SEL, Ticketek, Fosters, and IMG.

“We are very fortunate to be able to add Geoff’s broad experience and talents to our existing high-calibre Board of Darryl Kelly, Trish Hogan, Tony Hickey, Lynne Anderson, Prof Ned Pankhurst, and Company Secretary, Fraser Perrin, Ms Frizelle added.

In his roles, Geoff has been closely involved with the sports and entertainment industries building a vast range of professional contacts whilst acquiring an in-depth knowledge of all the professional football codes, including the NRL. His sporting background includes a stint as the first Assistant Coach at the ACT Brumbies.

Although based in Sydney, Geoff has previously lived in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast and has a great affinity with the local area. During his time at IMG he was CEO of Gold Coast Indy and remained a Board member for several years after his time as CEO.

“I’m delighted to join the Titans Board and help the club grow into the powerhouse it has the potential to be”, Mr Jones said.

“I have been really impressed by the vision and passion demonstrated by the Board and Management, as well as the commitment and direction of the entire playing group”, Mr Jones added.

Before embarking on his management career in the private sector, Geoff served in the Australian Defence Force reaching the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel.

With tertiary qualifications from University of NSW, Deakin University, and University of Canberra, combined with Geoff’s vast management experience in the private sector, the Titans could not have found a more ideal candidate to help the club on its journey to long-term sustainability and success.
