ATTENTION: DON'T RUN UNTIL RELEASED. Interview with Graham Annesley

Aquis Gold Coast Titans CEO Graham Annesley has today indicated that the club were always confident that Jarryd Hayne would remain with the club in 2018. Hayne today confirmed that he would stay with the Titans in what is sign of his committment to the Gold Coast.

Annesley, along with the entire football club are happy to have Hayne staying put.

"We are delighted with the decision," Annesley said. "We always expected it but we did need confirmation.

"This is fantastic news for the club, he certainly delivered last night and we're hopeful we see more of it here at the Titans."

Whilst the 30-year-old did wait until the eleventh hour to confirm he would be taking up the option, there is no doubt he can still perform at the highest level.

"These things are always good to put to bed. As mentioned, we were always confident but he showed some classy touches and is a player who still has it.

"At no stage did Jarryd indicate that he was looking elsewhere."
