Titans player Jarryd Hayne is loving life on the Gold Coast and says that definitely contributed to his decision to stay on at the club in 2018.

Hayne yesterday exercised his 2018 contract option that will see him stay at the club for a further 18 months. So far, Hayne has played 12 matches for the club, since debuting in Round 22 last year.

“You’ve got to enjoy what you do and enjoy where you live,” Hayne said.

“I’m excited to stay at the club and I’m loving life on the Gold Coast. I’d already made up my mind, but I had to have a few conversations with my Manager, Graham (Annesley) and the Coach.”

Whilst the 30-year-old had made the decision a few weeks ago, he did have some questions for Coach Neil Henry about where his future lies within the team.

“Fullback is definitely where I’m most comfortable but I returned from injury and wanted to get back into some form.

“It was a key to re-signing. I think that’s where my future is but at the moment and having to back-up from Origin, centre is probably best for me.”
