NYC Coach Ben Woolf has urged his side to be keen and enthusiastic when they take on the Cowboys tomorrow afternoon in Townsville.

The NYC side had the bye in Round 12 and although no match was played, his troops did have the opportunity to have an opposed session against the NSW side on Sunday.

“They guys had five days off but we came in on Sunday and had an opposed session against the Blues,” Woolf said.

“It was a good chance for those guys and a good experience.”

Woolf explained that whilst the Cowboys are missing a couple of key players, whilst it’s 17 v 17, it’ll always be a contest.

“They do have a couple of outs, a good half and a good centre but they have named Kalyn Ponga so he’ll add something to their side.

“I suppose what I’m after is good enthusiasm. Our attack has been good but if we can limit their opportunities down our end that would be a good start.”

The side will have five Queensland Under 20 representatives backing up from their match on Wednesday night but one key man will be Keegan Hipgrave, the new recruit who will wear Titans colours for the first time.

“Keegan had big minutes the other night so I’ll wait and see what we can get out of him tomorrow. He’s a big man who will be great. He runs the ball hard and is really enthusiastic.”

The Titans take on the Cowboys tomorrow afternoon at 1300 Smiles Stadium. The match will not be televised so follow @GCTitans on Twitter to keep up to date with all the action.
