Winger Will Zillman has said they he is ‘settled’ on the left wing and is looking forward to run home, starting this Saturday night against the Sharks at Cbus Super Stadium.
Zillman had an indifferent start to the year with back-to-back calf injuries keeping him sidelined but the 30-year-old returned in Round 13, putting in consistent performances.
“I feel really good,” Zillman said. “I feel settled on the left wing and it’s been a great last couple of weeks.
“I’m enjoying my football and we really need to bring our A-game this Saturday night.”
The Rochedale Brothers junior is due to play his 150th NRL match for the club next week and has been in this situation before where time is fast running out in the race to the finals.
“It’s the old cliché but you really need to take it one week at a time. Even after the last two wins the past fortnight, it means nothing if we can’t do it each week.”
Coming of a bye last week where the team had a few days of rest, Zillman believes the focus needs to be on the team, rather than the opposition.
“We came back from a week off and we’ve now had our biggest session and we need to concentrate on ourselves.”
