The newly re-signed Morgan Boyle today said that he never contemplated taking up any of the offers from other clubs and he was hoping to forge a long career here on the Gold Coast.
Boyle today committed for a further three years and a mix of the lifestyle and the playing group were a major part of his decision.
“I’ve been here for just under two years, I like the people, I like the Gold Coast, so it was an easy decision,” Boyle said.
With Coach Neil Henry at the helm, the Cobargo junior has a new found confidence and is looking to continue to develop as a player.
“I have to talking to Neil about the future and with a number of quality players here it’s definitely something that I want to be a part of.
“He has given me confidence and it’s what I needed. He gave me a taste earlier in the year and I thank him for that.”
A number of media outlets and fans have questioned the commitment of the playing group in recent days but Boyle believes everyone is doing their best.
“There is definitely a belief here. We understand that it was disappointing on Saturday but I have never second guessed the commitment by anyone and I am looking forward to the future.
“We have four games to go. We need to be more physical and focus on the game plan better.”
