Titans and Queensland prop forward Jarrod Wallace has today been apologetic towards members and fans after the loss to the Broncos on Saturday night at Cbus Super Stadium.
The Titans went down 54-nil to the third-placed Broncos and Wallace know that the scoreline on Saturday night is simply unacceptable.
“We have obviously had a couple of tough losses and we are trying to keep the spirits up amongst the guys,” Wallace said. “We were in it for a while and the Broncos played well, they were ready and we weren’t.”
Reports surfaced today that Board Member and an interested party when it comes to purchasing the club, Darryl Kelly, was ‘disillusioned’ and ‘questioning whether he would like to continue’ and Wallace said that he was entitled to his opinion but hoped he wouldn’t walk away.
“Darryl is passionate and has his opinion. He has done a lot for this club and we see what he is trying to build and create here.
“We’re letting him, members and fans down and we’re sorry for that. We want him to stick around.”
The Runaway Bay junior also fielded questions regarding speculation that Coach Neil Henry has ‘lost the dressing room’.
“It’s come from no one in here. We’re a team, we’re a club and there is always speculation about a lot of things but it’s come from no one here.
“We’re trying to stick together and it’s been a tough year with injuries and so on. We know we’re not in the position that we’d like to be with four games to go but he (Henry) isn’t on the field with us. The players need to take responsibility and we’re doing that.”
