Aquis Gold Coast Titans hooker Pat Politoni was last night name QRL 'Hooker of the Year' at the annual awards event, held in Brisbane.

Politoni didn't have the ideal start to season 2017, with a broken arm delaying his opportunity to gain a regular spot in the NRL side but as a shadow for Nathan Peats, the 26-year-old has made a solid contribution at the Titans.

Since that delayed start, Politoni has spent the majority of the season with the Burleigh Bears and was rewarded for his efforts last night.
