Titans TV caught up with hooker Nathan Peats as the team got together at their end of year celebrations to reflect on what was a tough 2017.

Peats missed the final match of the season on Saturday but watched with intent and was proud of the performance the side put in.

“It was disappointing not to be out there but boys really tried hard,” Peats said. “They can hold their heads high after what has been a long season.

“We were battling at the end of the season and to see the young guys show up and have a dig was pleasing.

“We’ll get together today, have a couple of beers and enjoy each other’s company.”

The NSW representative played 15 games and three Origin matches in 2017 and was happy that he was able to carry the injury through until last week.

“I’ve obviously had a bung shoulder for a while and I’ve rehab’d it through so I wasn’t that upset last week when it happened. It’s a little hurdle and I’ll be ready for round one next season.
