The Aquis Gold Coast Titans have this week held a 3-day Elite Academy Camp for its U16 players.

With it being school holidays across both QLD and NSW, the timing was right to get the groups together.

Titans Elite Player Development Unit Manager, Jamie McCormack, was pleased with how the camp went.

"We've got a number of kids from within our catchment and those that are part of our academy all come together and we are looking to upskill them," he said. "They've been joined here with the U16 Toowoomba Muctangs side who we have an affiliation with also.

"It's a three day camp where we'll have a trial, review sessions, skills sessions and also some strength and conditioning.

"The guys are getting the opportunity to be coached by Titans staff which is great."

The Mustangs travelled a fair distance to attend the camp, with some players coming from as far away as Kingaroy and Roma to take part.

"We were lucky to get the invite from the Titans and wanted to come down," Mustangs Coach Brendan Wilson said.

"It's about developing our players and it's been great so far.

"The relationship is good, we have been able to upskill our coaches and show that there is a pathway for our kids. They are keen to develop."
