In what has become a tradition, the Titans hosted the Tigers U15 development squad in Cudgen, on Thursday night.

With the Tigers holding their annual training camp just south of the border, it has become a regular that a match is played between the two sides.

"We put together an invitational side to play the Tigers who unfortunately went down to them tonight (Thursday)," Elite Player Development Unit Manager, Jamie McCormack said.

"Paul Sironen does a great job at the Tigers and they've been coming up here for a number of years.

"It gives our group a chance to have a good run against a side from Sydney."

Whilst only a trial, McCormack is instilling core values into the players to take pride in pulling on a Titans jersey.

"It's about development but also about having pride in the jersey. It's about creating a culture.

"Some will make it and some we'll keep an eye on but hopefully some of these guys become an NRL player one day."
