Gold Coast Titans can confirm young gun Phillip Sami has signed a two-year contract extension, through until the end of 2020.
The 20-year-old had a year to remember in 2017, making his debut in Round 15 against the South Sydney Rabbitohs and played four games in total.
The Goodna Eagles junior is currently part of the full-time training squad and says he didn’t entertain heading anywhere else.
“I’m excited to be part of the club and I can definitely see a bright future,” Sami said.
“It was an easy decision for me, it was just one chat with my manager and I said yes straight away.”
“I played those four games last year and it’s given me a lot of confidence. I know there is still a lot of work to do and I’m doing my best through the pre-season.”
Coach Garth Brennan is impressed with Sami’s skill and application.
“Phil is a young player who made an impression pretty early on,” he said.
“He has a lot of positive attributes and I’m looking forward to working with him.
“He has some versatility in the positions he can play so he will be a valuable player to have part of the squad.”
