Week one of season 2018 is now complete with Head Coach Garth Brennan praising the attitude and application of his squad since returning.

Whilst the squad returned last Friday and Saturday for a number of ‘lighter’ session, it has been full speed ahead this week at the TFH High Performance Centre.

“It was a tough day today (Friday) and we’re not wasting any days,” Brennan said. “Friday is always a bigger day but they were solid out there today.

“I’m really happy with the way that they have all returned.

“Even a couple of the guys who struggle, like Leilani and Konrad, have returned only 2kg from their playing weight.

“I think all of them have got their head in the right space, with all of them committed and professional.

With just over one month until the first trial, the next block of training will be extremely important, for many reasons.

“We’ll continue to build the base of strength and fitness, that is important. The combinations are something that we’ll also focus on in the next three to four weeks. We only have two trials so it’s important.”
