Head Coach Garth Brennan will have many selection nightmares over the next month but none more so that in the outside backs, especially on the right side.

With the arrival of Brenko Lee, Brennan now has two capable right centres at his disposal, with Konrad Hurrell the man who currently holds down that spot.

For Lee, the right side has been his home since making his NRL debut back in season 2014 but with Hurrell there, he’s open to a change to guarantee his spot in the side.

“I do prefer centre but whatever Garth wants, I’m ready,” Lee said. “I’m here to help the Titans be better.

“I’ve never really played on the left side before but I’ll have a chat with the Coach and see where we end up.

“I’m not sure what it is (about the right-hand side), I’ve just always played there.”

Hurrell is the ultimate team man and appreciates that with competition in the squad, the side will only get better.

“He (Brenko) is a good player and exciting,” he said. “It’s always good to have challengers in your position.”

And whilst Lee has never spent time on the left-hand side, it is different for the Tongan national.

“I actually started my career on the left and ended up switching over.

“I really don’t mind as long as I’m in the starting team.”
