Tugun junior Kane Elgey is looking forward to getting out there and playing some footy.
"It's a long pre-season and it's always exciting when you get to go out and play some footy," Elgey said.
Elgey is also excited about seeing new recruit Bryce Cartwright in action.
"He's impressed since he got here. We all know what he can do with the ball so that added spark will take some pressure off me and Ash."
Karl Lawton is another who will get a crack in the first trial and will be hoping for a better season than in 2017.
"I really just want to get some more game time and I've managed to stay injury free through the pre-season so I'm ready to go," he said.
"It's good for all us guys to get first crack so I'll take it with both hands and look to do some good things."
