New recruit Brendan Elliot enjoyed the hit-out against the Broncos last week but is enjoying being out there after what has been a tough pre-season.
The Runaway Bay junior played half a match at fullback last week but will this week take his place o the right wing, outside Konrad Hurrell.
"Yeah I'll be out Koni so that'll be good," Elliot said. "It'll be good to be out on the right with him and hopefully he gives me some good ball."
Last week there were a number of senior players missing but with the likes of Nathan Peats, Ryan James, Michael Gordon and Ash Taylor included in the squad, the former Knight has noticed a lift amongst the group.
"There has been a lot of talk and a lot of enthusiasm."
Probably out of all those players listed, Peats has been the most vocal. Not that it's a surprise to Elliot.
"It's not really a surprise. He's a leader and is one of our most experienced players.
"He leads the team around and makes a difference with his talk."
