The TFH Gold Coast Titans will continue their unique partnership with Queensland Touch Football as the Titans men’s and women’s touch football teams prepare for the Elite 8 series.
Queensland’s southern most Elite 8 team, which covers the South and South West Queensland regions, will once again compete as the Titans during the upcoming National Touch League in Coffs Harbour. The partnership between the Titans and Queensland Touch Football will enter its third year this season, with opportunities to engage participants across both codes from the grassroots right through to the elite level of competition.
Titans men’s and women’s touch football players recently joined their NRL counterparts to visit local schools to deliver the NRL Wellbeing message along with their own experiences of starting at a junior club, through to playing at an elite level. The shared school community visits allowed students to identify the players as the best of their game and show there is a pathway through Touch Football to become a Titan.

The Titans men’s team were narrowly defeated in an all-Queensland final last year. New Titans coach Chris Loth has opted to retain a core group of the 2017 team, blooding three young debutants amongst his more experienced campaigners.
Titans women’s coach Renee Murphy will use the combination of experience and youth as she aims to guide her team deeper into the finals after their semi-final loss in 2017.
The Elite 8 series will be played at the National Touch League (NTL) at Coffs Harbour on March 7-10. To stay update with the results click here
