Halfback Ash Taylor admits his on-field relationship with young five-eighth does have improvement in it but believes it is headed in the right direction and is coming along well.

Taylor and Brimson's combination is only four games old but the St George product is looking for it to grow another leg.

"It's coming along well," Taylor said. "We didn't get much of a chance to showcase that on the weekend but hopefully we can get our combo going forward again."

As with any side, Taylor knows that players will come in and out but is really looking for some consistency, regardless of who is in the 17 each week.

"I wish we'd had it at the start of the year," he grinned.

"We've put ourselves in a tough position with different guys coming in and out. It's happening again this week with Wall (Jarrod Wallace) being out, as he gets us going forward but we've got to get through the game without him and the guys coming in can do the job."

One of the men coming in is forward Morgan Boyle who is likely to get his first taste of NRL football since Round 8.

"He is coming off a shoulder injury and came back through Q Cup last week. He gets a call up straight away so it's a big chance and up to him to take it with both hands."
