James suffers minor knee injury

Titans captain Ryan James today suffered an injury to his right knee that will see him miss the next 2-3 weeks of training.

The Bilambil junior felt a pain in his knee and was immediately sent for a scan that revealed a minor medial ligament strain.

James will unfortunately now be unavailable for the upcoming All Stars match but is working towards playing in the club’s final trial against the Brisbane Broncos at Cbus Super Stadium on Saturday, 2 March.

Coach Garth Brennan was relieved it wasn’t more serious.

“Ryan knows his body well and as soon as he felt the pain he came straight off the field,” he said.

“He’s extremely diligent across all areas of his game, so he’ll be doing everything he can during his recovery to get it back to 100 per cent as quick as he can.”
