New recruits Shannon Boyd and Tyrone Peachey will play their first games in Titans colours on Saturday, after Gold Coast coach Garth Brennan named a close to full-strength team to take on the Broncos in the trial match at Cbus Super Stadium.
Conjecture about where in the team Brennan would deploy Peachey have been laid to rest, with the NSW State of Origin star named alongside the returning Brian Kelly in a new-look Gold Coast centre pairing for 2019.
Boyd will partner Queensland Origin prop Jarrod Wallace in a powerful starting front row.
The 24-man squad gives Titans fans their first look at Brennan’s first-choice squad for the year, with skipper Ryan James (knee) and Keegan Hipgrave (hamstring) the only players unavailable due to injury.
AJ Brimson, making his way back from off-season shoulder surgery, has been named on an extended Gold Coast bench.
Plenty of tickets are still available through titans.com.au/ticket, and Titans members and fans are encouraged to pre-purchase tickets to avoid match-day queues for the last hit-out before the season proper begins.
While only a trial, the match will serve as a full-scale preview of the Round 13 clash between these two clubs, with the Broncos also naming a full-strength team to play at Cbus Super Stadium, highlighted by the return of former Test forward Matt Gillett, who missed most of last season with a broken neck.
The trial match between the Titans and Broncos kicks off at 6.30pm on Saturday at Cbus Super Stadium.
