Gold Coast Titans coach Garth Brennan has confirmed his Round 1 line-up for the club’s season opener this Sunday against the Canberra Raiders at Cbus Super Stadium.
Brennan has named a strong outfit with a number of tough decisions being made in key positions. Tyrone Roberts has been named at five-eighth for the clash with boom rookie AJ Brimson named on the interchange bench. New recruits Shannon Boyd, Brian Kelly and Tyrone Peachey have been thrown straight into the starting side with Boyd set to take on his former club.
Captain Ryan James has been named to start in the second row after recovering from a knee injury suffered during pre-season training. The Bilambil junior has had six weeks to recover and has confirmed he’s fit and ready to take to the field.
The match, to be played at 5:10pm (QLD time) is set to be great afternoon of action on and off the field with the Neds pre-game show featuring Australian music icon, Daryl Braithwaite, live on stage half an hour before kick-off.
