The Titans are looking to secure their first win for caretaker coach Craig Hodges, while the Broncos are desperate for the win which would keep their faint finals hopes alive.

Despite the game’s importance, fans of both clubs attending the Cbus Super Stadium clash are being urged to set their rivalry aside to form a united front in support of the Mark Hughes Foundation’s “Beanies for Brain Cancer” Round.

Representatives from the Mark Hughes Foundation will be selling male and female beanies on the Cbus Super Stadium concourse before the game.

The Mark Hughes Foundation (MHF) is a charity formed in Newcastle by Mark and Kirralee Hughes following Mark’s Brain Cancer diagnosis in 2013.

The Foundation’s mission is to raise much needed funds for research, to create awareness and support brain cancer patients and their families.

This year’s Beanie for Brain Cancer Round urges fans to buy an MHF Beanie at all NRL matches, or donate online, with the aim of raising $3 million for research, with the next round of funding to open at the completion of the 2019 Beanie campaign in August.

Beanies cost just $25 dollars.
