Moe says Titans need to deliver for the fans

The desire to repay faithful fans is driving the Gold Coast Titans as much as the hunt for precious premiership points, according to prop Moeaki Fotuaika.

As the Titans prime mover prepares to tear into the highly-rated Parramatta pack on Friday night at Cbus Stadium, Fotuaika insists the Gold Coast still have plenty to play for in the final four weeks despite another season slipping away.

“We’ve got to put in a good performance,” Fotuaika said.

“(The fans) have been through the highs and lows with us, and we just really have to put a good performance in because they’re digging into their pockets to come and watch us every week.

“The boys talk about it at training. The fans are using their money to support us, and the least we could do is put in a good effort and do the best we can do to take the club forward in the right direction.

“That’s our main focus – these last four games, and finish off the season strong and get a few wins under our belt and really set up for next year.”

Fotuaika said despite their being only four games remaining in what has been a very tough season, the Titans players have not lost the motivation to produce their best football.

“All the boys are still pretty motivated in training sessions,” he said.

“Our season hasn’t gone too well, so we’re just trying to find that motivation throughout the week at training to make sure we get the job done on the weekend.

“I don’t really have to find any motivation. The boys motivate me to play harder on the field.”
