Titans star Kevin Proctor has earned a recall to the New Zealand Test team, named as part of a 22-man squad announced by Kiwis coach Michael Maguire for the upcoming Tests against Australia and Great Britain.
The veteran Titans edge forward had been named in New Zealand’s squad for the World Nines earlier in the week.
Proctor will be part of an impressive looking Kiwis team that includes in-form halves Benji Marshall, Kieran Foran, Shaun Johnson and former Titan Jahrome Hughes, Canberra Raiders prodigy Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad and three members of the Roosters’ premiership team.
The Kiwis begin their Test campaign with their Oceania Cup clash against the Kangaroos in Wollongong on Friday, 25 October before flying to New Zealand for two Tests against the reformed GB Rugby League Lions (Great Britain).
The first of these will be the second match of an international triple-header at Auckland’s Eden Park on Saturday, 2 November, which also features the Kangaroos facing Tonga Invitational and Toa Samoa taking on Fiji Bati in Oceania Cup matches.
The Kiwis then move to Christchurch for the second Test at Orangetheory Stadium (formerly AMI Stadium) on Saturday 9 November.
