The first month of pre-season is now complete with the coaching staff putting the group through a gruelling conditioning session in Currumbin this morning.

The squad was split into two groups and had the pleasure of running the Currumbin Stairs and then the infamous Woodgee St hill.

Coach Justin Holbrook was impressed with the effort to finish off the week.

“It’s the end of the first four weeks of training and the boys had the pleasure of running up the stairs and the hill this morning,” Holbrook said.

“Probably not great for them but they’ll feel better when they are finished.”

With a month of training now in the bank the Coach has seen improvement amongst the group.

“I said right from the first week that the boys showed that they wanted to improve and they’ve shown the coaching staff nothing but that.

“They’ve been terrific and each week we’ve ramped each session up.

“So far, so good.”
