New Titans recruit Sam Lisone has landed on the Gold Coast, and is ready to “rip in” for his new club.

Lisone was announced as the Titans’ 28th NRL squad member last Saturday and, after a short flight across the ditch, he has joined is new teammates for training.

Lisone will get straight into the action with the Titans, after being named to start in the front row against the Brisbane Broncos this Saturday night in Redcliffe.

The 26-year-old may be quietly spoken, but is known for his aggressive nature on the field, something the Titans are looking for after the season-ending injury to Ryan James.

The former Samoa Test prop may have only been in the country for two days but he believes the fresh start will give him a new hunger to perform in the NRL.

“It’s been pretty good (since arriving),” Lisone said.

“The boys have been very welcoming and I can’t wait to rip in.

Slammin’ Sam Lisone Signs With Titans For 2020 Season

“I’ve come here open-minded and I’m keen to learn from Justin (Holbrook) and the boys.”

Lisone doesn’t have much time to settle in, and will need to lead from the front on Saturday night against a Broncos forward pack stacked with talent.

“I’m excited and pretty pumped,” he said of playing his first game as a Titan.

“I haven’t had a game yet (this year), but it’ll be good to play a quality opposition so I can’t wait for that.”

Looking at season 2020, the Otahuhu Leopards junior has a few things he’d like to achieve.

“I really just want to play some consistent footy,” he said.

“I like to be aggressive and run the ball hard, so that’s what I’ll be focusing on first up.”
