Off-season recruits Sam Lisone and Jaimin Jolliffe will take their place in Titans history on Friday night when they make their Club debuts for the Gold Coast in the NRL season-opening clash against the Canberra Raiders at GIO Stadium.

Lisone will become Titan No.151 and Jolliffe No.152 on the Titans’ all-time honour board after being given the call-up in a strong and in-form line-up named by Titans Head Coach Justin Holbrook.

Lisone has been impressive since arriving at the Club from the Warriors only a few weeks ago, performing well in the trial win over the Broncos in Redcliffe just days after stepping off the plane, and forcing his way into a starting position in the Titans’ pack.

Similarly Jolliffe, who joined the Titans on a train-and-trial deal from Newtown late last year, has made every post a winner since linking with the Gold Coast, and will be rewarded with his NRL debut off the bench.

Kevin Proctor will captain the Titans from a powerful backrow line-up that includes Bryce Cartwright and Jai Arrow.

Raiders vs Titans

Titans NRL Nines captain Mitch Rein held out the challenge from Nathan Peats for the starting hooking role after a quality pre-season, with Peats to bring his versatility to an extended bench.

Holbrook has also overhauled the Titans backline for the season opener, with Kallum Watkins and Tyrone Peachey rewarded for their good pre-season form to be named as the new centre combination.

Gold Coast 'Godfather' made Lisone offer he couldn't refuse

Anthony Don and Dale Copley, another to shine with his form in the trial matches, will line up on the wing.

Phillip Sami takes over the No.1 jersey, with AJ Brimson (back) and 2019 Paul Broughton Medallist Moeaki Fotuaika (knee) both named on the extended bench as they race the clock to overcome injury complaints and be passed fit to take on the Raiders.
