Gold Coast Titans Head Coach Justin Holbrook has delivered some positive news on the eve of the match against the Roosters by confirming AJ Brimson will almost certainly be a starter come 3pm Saturday.

Holbrook said “hopefully AJ Brimson will be right to go.

“We named him the squad early in the week and he has trained really well this week, so get through today and bring him into play.”

The first-year Titans coach heaped on the praise of his dynamite fullback during his pre-match press conference.

“I said in pre-season, he has been the favourite or most dynamic player in our squad.

“He has that absolute top end speed that not many players in the game have, so to be able bring him back into our side is a real bonus for us.”

It wasn’t just the returning Brimson that pleased the Titans’ mentor, but also the return of Kevin Proctor, Nathan Peats and Dale Copley during last weekend’s match against the Panthers.

“It has been great to give the young guys games, that’s for sure and we will continue to do that but it is good to be a stable side.” Holbrook said.

“Peatsy, we know what he brings. He brings the experience and he is very competitive, he will make 100 tackles for us.

“He did that last week and he has done a great job while not playing for us also.”

Holbrook’s football coaching journey comes full circle when he faces off against former mentor in Trent Robinson, where he did part of his apprenticeship.

“I am excited to be playing against them and I am no different to anyone else, we know we are playing a well-established side.” He said of Robinson.
