Justin Holbrook says there has been plenty to like from his squad over the last fortnight, but wants to convert strong performances into wins – starting with Sunday’s game against the North Queensland Cowboys.

“I think we’ve played really good the last two weeks and if we had a couple of things go our way we would have come away with some wins,” Holbrook said.

TITANS V COWBOYS - BUY TICKETS

The Cowboys have a strong recent record over the Titans and while Holbrook says he doesn’t get caught up in those sort of statistics, he is keen to change the ledger at Cbus Super Stadium this week.

“That’s a record we want to change.

“They’ve been really similar to us haven’t they, we’ve had a couple of narrow losses against some quality sides and they’ve done the same so it’s all shaping for a really good game here tomorrow.”

The Titans Coach says the battle of the halfbacks will be important, noting that Jamal Fogarty is continuing to improve in the #7 jersey while the Cowboys will be boosted by the return of Michael Morgan.

“He’s (Fogarty) getting better every week.

“It’s a big job to come in as the halfback … every week he is getting better and we want that to continue.

“Morgan is one of the best players in the game so that’s a huge boost for them.

“He will give them a big lift, they’ve been playing well without him but that’s probably the best side they’ve fielded for a while.”

Holbrook expects the side to line up as named earlier this week pending an injury-free Captain’s run today.
