The Gold Coast Titans will wait to decide what approach to take with Jai Arrow, after the Queensland Origin representative suffered a shoulder injury in the Round 14 game against the Sharks.

Titans Head of Performance Dan Ferris says there is some good news on the injury front, with two players set to return from injury in coming weeks but it’s still a case of waiting to find out how long Arrow and team-mate Dale Copley will be out of the game.

“Jai had his scan done yesterday and he has got a high grade AC (shoulder) injury,” Ferris said.

“He’ll consult a surgeon about whether he will go under the knife or whether we’ll take a conservative approach.

Copley, who picked up a pectoralis major tear against Cronulla has had scans but will now seek the opinion of a surgeon to determine his recovery.

“He’ll most likely have surgery, but he will get that opinion and we’ll move forward from there,”  Ferris said.

After being late withdrawals from the Titans squad last week, both Anthony Don and Phillip Sami have been named to return on the wings this week.

“Anthony Don had a rib cartilage complaint and was a 50/50 whether he could play,” Ferris said.

“Phil Sami had a knee complaint, just a slight PCL injury.

“It was nothing too major but we had some healthy troops come back like Young Tonumaipea, so coach went with that choice.

“They’ll both (Don and Sami) be available for selection this week.”

After making just the one appearance in Titans colours this season, Jonus Pearson is firming for a comeback with the outside back almost fully recovered from a pec injury.

“Jonus is training really well,” Ferris said.

“He has done full contact and he is nearly at the full stage of return to play.

“If he can get through a full week of training next week he will be available for selection.

Mitch Rein is the other that has recovered from a knee injury and is now fit and available for selection.
