Player to Watch: Tyrone Peachey

Titans lock Tyrone Peachey is coming off arguably his best game in the Gold Coast jersey this season and he is our player to watch against the Bulldogs on Saturday.

The 29-year-old took advantage of a starting spot against the Dragons, impressing with his work rate and creativity with the ball in hand.

Coach Justin Holbrook had called on Peachey to lift for the match, after playing below his best form in the rounds previous.

“I asked him to step up in a lot of areas and he did it,” Holbrook said speaking after the Titans win over the Dragons.

Peachey scored an important try late in the game to help set up the Titans win.

His return to the starting side came as Moeaki Fotuaika was ruled out through suspension, handing Peachey his first start since round eight when he played in the centres.

Despite Fotuaika’s return for Saturday’s clash with the Bulldogs, Holbrook has retained Peachey in the #13 jumper as he looks to build on his form shown last week.

Against a big forward pack, Peachey could be the extra creative threat that sparks that Titans attack, with the Gold Coast looking for back-to-back wins.
