Titans PDRL team playing in Beach Rugby 5s Festival

The Gold Coast Titans Physical Disability Rugby League Team are playing at the Gold Coast Beach 5s Rugby Spring Break Festival in the headline charity match on the 14th of November.

The players will be playing with NRL and Rugby Union stars, including former Gold Coast Titans players Preston Campbell and Brad Meyers.

The players featured in the Titanium Turtles and Aussie Dingoes teams, will be raising money for Titans Together.

Mitch Gleeson, Titans Physical Disability Rugby League Captain, said he is looking forward to playing with Preston Campbell and the playing legends.

“Preston coached me a few years ago, so to be able to play with him this weekend is really exciting,” Gleeson said.

“We’ve been training really hard over the past few months, so we are all really excited to get down to the beach and play.

“We are currently undefeated in our playing comp, so hopefully we can give the boys a good run for their money,” he said.

Former Gold Coast Titans player Preston Campbell said he is eager to play Beach 5s for the first time.

“I know it’s going to be really hard playing on the sand but I’m looking forward to the challenge,” Campbell said.

“It’s shaping up to be a great competition that is inclusive of everyone,” he said.

The Titanium Turtles vs Aussie Dingoes Charity Match will be played at 4pm on Greenmount Beach.

The tournament is free to attend and playing jersey’s will be auctioned off to raise money for Titans Together.
