Don ready for a good 2021

We’ve come to expect it, but “The Don” was good again in 2020.

Anthony Don was once again the Titans leading try scorer for a season and is the most prolific try-scorer in the Club’s history.

The 16 appearances in 2020, the 33-year-old scored 10 tries to again prove his credentials as one of the best finishers in the game.

With his form still strong, the Grafton junior has signed on for one more season with he Gold Coast and will be looking to add to his try scoring tally in 2021.

"It (2021) is likely to be my last year next year but you never know,” Don said.

"I know if the Titans didn't want to re-sign me that I was probably finished up in the NRL, so I'm really happy that I've got another year and that I get to keep playing for the Titans."

Playing his first game for the Club in 2013, Don is on track to reach 150 career games in 2021 and his contract extension means he will likely finish as a one-club player.

Don says he has re-discovered a passion for the game under new coach Justin Holbrook and believes he is playing some of the best football of his career.

"Last year it was a bit of a chore to come to training and I wasn't enjoying footy as much," he said.

"With the new coaching staff and new squad I've really loved coming to training and I love playing the games on the weekend and I'm just really enjoying playing footy at the moment.

"I think the Titans are in for a bright future over the next few years and I'm glad to be a part of it."
