In a series analysing who will line up in each position for all 16 teams in the opening round of the Telstra Premiership in 2021, NRL.com looks at the Gold Coast Titans.

NRL.com says: David Fifita will be fit to play round one while AJ Brimson is also targeting the start of the season after suffering a Lisfranc injury in Origin.

The team largely picks itself although Tanah Boyd, Beau Fermor, Sam Stone, Jaimin Jolliffe and Corey Thompson are all pushing for spots.

Tyrone Peachey had an excellent finish to the season at lock but with two high-profile No.13s recruited he may have to revert to the bench.

Jamie Soward says: They've recruited well. I think the hype is real but I'm not sure it's going to happen straight away.

The questions next season will be around how does their marquee money go in Ash Taylor, and can Jamal Fogarty get them in position enough. There's a young spine you like the look of, whether Rein is the right fit for them at hooker we have to wait and see.

Wallace has to turn a page or he might find himself on the bench. I think Ese'ese might start over him.

They have an impressive squad. I'd like to see Peachey just accept that utility role and not worry about trying to pin down one position.
