Corporal Baird, 32, was shot dead during a battle to take an insurgent-held compound in the village of Ghawchak, in Afghanistan’s Khod Valley, on June 22 2013.

The Baird family presented the trophy as part of the NRL's ANZAC Round to Brimson on Friday in the sheds after the match.

The award is given to the Titans player that is deemed to have demonstrated the effort and values most similar to Cameron.

For Brimson, this is a huge honor and testament to his commitment to his teammates on Friday night.

Despite the result not going the way of the Titans, Brimson could hold his head high having given his all in the pursuit of victory at Cbus Super Stadium.
