Rogers double key to Bears second half triumph

The Burleigh Bears piled on five second half tries to defeat the Central Queensland Capras 38-6 at Pizzey Park on Saturday afternoon.

The fourth-placed Bears played host to a last-placed Capras side still searching for their first win of the season, with the home side overcoming a slow start to record their sixth win of the season. Full match report.

Norths firm as Cup contenders with big win over Tweed

The Norths Devils opened up a three-point gap between them and Tweed on the Intrust Super Cup ladder after a convincing 40-12 victory over the Seagulls at the Piggabeen Sports Complex on Saturday.

After a tough 30-minute period of scrapping between the two physical packs - as would be expected between the second and third placed teams - the Devils gained the upper hand either side of half-time with three converted tries and never relented. Full match report.
