Laffranchi looking forward to Titans bringing Storm energy to Cbus this weekend

Gold Coast Titans legend and current General Manager of Football, Anthony Laffranchi, was pleased with the 'energy and effort' his side showed in the close loss to the Melbourne Storm and believes repeat performances like that will result in more wins for the club.

Speaking after last night's narrow loss to the Storm on the Sunshine Coast, Laffranchi liked the resilience an undermanned Titans showed with four players missing due to State of Origin.

"Both teams had key players out and in the Origin team and guys filled those positions and brought a lot of energy and effort and that is what we spoke about after the game," Laffranchi said.

"If you put a lot of energy and effort into a game you generally come out with a win or a near result-which we did tonight.

After a number of weeks on the road, the Titans are looking forward to getting back to Cbus Super Stadium next Saturday for 'Superhero Saturday.'

"We have been on the road for the last couple of weeks - in and out the last month in particular and we are just really looking forward to getting back and playing two home games at Cbus," Laffranchi said.

"Nothing like a good tough game against the Roosters first up and then obviously into Manly the following week.

"We are calling out all of our local supporters to get back out there (Cbus Super Stadium) and energy and effort like that (last night's game) should excite fans to come back."
