Steve Mitchell: They’ll make our community proud

A letter from Titans CEO Steve Mitchell.

This week is a milestone week for the Gold Coast Titans.

On Sunday, our inaugural NRLW side will take to the field for the first round of the NRLW Premiership.

The players and staff involved in our NRLW program have only been around the club for a short time, but they’ve already had an amazing impact.

They’ve worked tirelessly over the past seven months.  They’ve had their season suspended because of the pandemic. They’ve been waiting patiently and training hard to ensure when the season finally beings that they are ready.

This group live what it means to be a Titan.  They’re bonded by shared values, they care for each other, they believe in what is possible and they are unapologetic about their desire to succeed.

Their enthusiasm and energy resonates with everyone they engage with.

Now, they are on the precipice of achieving their collective dream – to play and succeed for the Gold Coast.

This Sunday they’ll play in Newcastle against the Dragons (kickoff is at 12pm Queensland time).  In round four, they’ll play here on the Coast for the first time.  At Cbus Super Stadium on March 19th, our Titans will take on the Broncos in a local derby.  Make sure you have your ticket and are there to support our girls for their first ever game in front of the Titans Legion.

Win, lose or draw, you can expect plenty of effort from this side.  They’ll make our community proud.
