Big guns return as Titans name team to face Warriors

Influential leader Tino Fa'asuamaleaui will run out for the first time with the 'c' next to his name as the big guns return for the Gold Coast Titans' clash with the Warriors at Redcliffe.

In the second and final trial match before the regular season kicks off on March 13, a full-strength outfit will take to Moreton Daily Stadium in a bid to build combinations, punch out big minutes and put all the pre-season hard work into practice in the final outing to impress coach Justin Holbrook for a Round 1 top 17 jersey.

Fans will get a glimpse of the all-new, young spine in action for the first time; with Jayden Campbell, AJ Brimson, Toby Sexton and Erin Clark getting their maiden crack to steer the side around on the field.

David Fifita is fit and firing, shaking off any suggestion of a rib injury from his All Stars appearance and will be joined in the back-row by Beau Fermor, who gets his opportunity in a run-on jersey.

The only key player missing from the line-up is new recruit Isaac Liu, with the 202-game enforcer to watch from the sidelines before being unleashed when the NRL Telstra Premiership commences in a fortnight.

With the former Sydney Roosters hard man being rested, Jaimin Jolliffe gets another chance to start after his barnstorming performance against the Broncos at the weekend; running for 73 metres over nine carries, making 16 tackles and assisting in a try and a line-break in the opening quarter of the match at Cbus Super Stadium last Saturday.

With Holbrook currently isolating due to COVID-19, Titans assistant Jim Dymock will take over the coaching duties this weekend.

The match kicks off at 2pm on Saturday at Moreton Daily Stadium in Redcliffe.
