Bragging rights and a chance to impress: Plenty to play for in Cup local derby

There's nothing sweeter than winning a local derby... and that's what Burleigh and Tweed hope to do when they lock horns later today.

The two Gold Coast feeder clubs will face off in Round 4 of the Hostplus Cup, with several Titans named to play in the Sunday afternoon clash at Pizzey Park.

Alofiana Khan-Pereira, Tony Francis and Jacob Alick are all set to line-up for the undefeated Bears, who have won nine of the last ten match-ups between the two fierce rivals.

Tweed - hungry to avenge last week's narrow 13-4 loss - have Paul Turner, Jojo Fifita and Sam McIntyre all suiting up, hoping to catch the eye of coach Justin Holbrook for a chance to be selected to play NRL.

Tom Weaver will also be in action earlier in the day, set to wear the No. 7 jersey and skipper the Seagulls' Hastings Deering Colts side which run out to play at 12pm.

Don't miss the huge triple header between the two sides, with the Auswide Bank Mal Meninga Cup clash kicking off proceedings at 10.30am at Pizzey Park, Miami.
