"I will be ready come Saturday night."
Sam McIntyre is more than ready to do his role come Saturday night against the Roosters.
The Titans backrower returns to the NRL for only his second game this season, but says it is where he wants to stay.
"I am excited and really ready to go," he said.
"I want to be playing more footy.
"I want to be a first grader playing week in week out and at the moment, just for whatever reason, I haven't been playing, but I'm not going to kick stones.
"I am just going to do my absolute best to get an opportunity now to do my best to stay in the side and make sure we get some wins.
"I feel really good with my footy this year, so I won't miss a beat - I'll be ready to go "Saturday for sure."
McIntyre and his Titans teammates will be coming up against the side that knocked them out of the finals series in dramatic fashion in 2021 and while he says they haven't spoken about the game, it is always in the back of their mind.
"I dont think we've talked about it much (the semi final), but I think we all feel it," he said.
"There is definitely definitely something there, but we just want to go ahead and do our best this weekend and let the results speak for themselves."
"We go up to Mackay this weekend, and I haven't played their before, so I am excited to get up there and hopefully get a win for the Titans."
