The Gold Coast Titans has a rich history against the Dragons at Suncorp Stadium.

The hallowed turf of the Cauldron was the very ground the club made their NRL debut at 15 years ago, and the blue and gold is set to travel up the M1 again to face off against St George-Illawarra in this weekend's Magic Round.

1. 2007

The Titans played their first official match in Round 1 of the 2007 NRL season against the St George-Illawarra Dragons. Their first game was moved from their home ground at Carrara Stadium to Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane due to the huge demand of fans eager to see the new Gold Coast outfit in action.

On March 18, 2007, in front of over 42,000 people, they made their debut.

2. Scott Prince and Luke Bailey

In the Titans' inaugural season, the club appointed co-captains with playmaker Scott Prince and hard man Luke Bailey skippering the club.

3. Kris Kahler

With the Titans running from left to right in the first half, it was Preston Campbell who got the first touch of the footy down the Caxton Street end, before passing off to front row forward Kris Kahler, who took the first carry in the Gold Coast's inaugural match.

4. Chris Walker and Jake Webster

Only two Titans troubled the scorers in the club's first clash with Chris Walker putting on 14 points of his own with two tries and three conversions, with Jake Webster scoring the only other four-pointer that day.

5. Titans 18 defeated by Dragons 20

In a hard-fought battle, the Titans fell to the Dragons in their first match, but still had plenty of fans leaving the stands or at home, proud of the new club that just kicked off.

Locked up 6-6 at the break, St George shot away to a 20-6 lead in the first 15 minutes of the second half, before the courageous Titans mounted a mighty comeback effort, clawing back 14 points, falling just a mere penalty goal short of matching their opposition that day.
