AJ's return to No. 6 reunites Titans' Batman and Robin

The partnership between AJ Brimson and Toby Sexton can best be described as the Titans' version of Batman and Robin.

An iconic duo who have been paired together, the five-eighth was glad to return to the halves to partner youngster Toby Sexton, uniting with fullback Jayden Campbell to work in tandem and deliver a much-needed Gold Coast win at the weekend in Magic Round.

"It was good to be back there. I enjoy being on the left edge with the combinations we have formed and it was good to have JC back and fullback. It felt pretty comfortable," Brimson said.

It's been a good success rate for the first-choice spine when the trio combine, only previously playing one and a half fully-fit games together before getting the band back together for Saturday's golden-point thriller at Suncorp.

"I think that's what we trained on all pre-season. We've only played a few games together and we're working well, so we're probably going to stick with it," Brimson said.

"We started the year well together, and then we had a few injuries which led to new combinations and we just couldn't get it right in that last six-week period.

"It wasn't the prettiest win on the weekend, but we end up getting the win and we just have confidence with JC (Jayden Campbell) out there. He's an exciting player and takes pressure off Toby and myself, so we're really glad to have him back."

Match Highlights: Titans snatch Golden point thriller over Dragons

Despite the Dragons clash going down to the wire - being determined in golden-point - it's an outing that will be remembered for quite some time, with plenty of positives to take away given the current ladder position.

"It was massive... especially in the context of our season. It was probably a good win to get, as a gritty performance and we'll get confidence out of it," Brimson said.

"It's only one win and two points, but will mean more than that for our season."

Up against Cronulla in this Sunday's clash at Cbus Super Stadium, Brimson is looking forward to facing fellow half Nicho Hynes, but is hoping he'll potentially play at fullback again with Will Kennedy missing through suspension.

"I think I'd rather verse them with him at fullback as it just takes him out of the halves and probably gets his hand off that first receiver ball and minimise that as much as we can," Brimson said.

"He's obviously a quality player, but I don't know what they're going to do... if they change it up or they stick with what they did last week."

'It was good to be back there' - Brimson

The young half can't wait to get back home, especially for the Sunday afternoon clash with plenty of families set to attend for Super Hero Round - bringing plenty of excitement to Cbus Super Stadium in partnership with Warner Bros. Movie World.

"I like Batman the most.... the Dark Knight was the greatest movie," Brimson said, when asked about his favourite Super Hero.

"It's a good occasion, especially for young families to come dressed up and it's at 4pm on a Sunday on the Gold Coast, so it'll be good."

Super Hero Sunday is taking over Cbus Super Stadium this weekend!

On the field, the Titans will battle the villainous Cronulla Sharks in a must-win clash. Off the field, meet some of the DC Super Heroes from Warner Bros. Movie World; including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and more.
